ADOPTION SCHOLARSHIP FUND -- We Need Your Help
|
|
 Donate |
In recent months we have come in contact with birth mothers who chose not to abort their unwanted babies. Instead, they chose to deliver their babies and put them up for adoption. However, the loving potential adoptive families are having trouble adopting because they are unable to come up with the much needed funds. Years ago, many families used to pull out equity from their homes to help offset the cost of adoption. However, due to the current real estate slump and property depreciation most families are being turned down by lending institutions. Many families are doing bake sales and car washes but they are still thousands of dollars short of their goal. To adopt a Bi-racial, African American, or Special Needs child, the average cost is about $18,000. To adopt a Caucasian child, the average cost is about $28,000 (for domestic adoptions).

FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW
In 2005, according to statistics from the Guttmacher Institute, there were approximately 95,000 legal abortions in Florida. Our adoption fund will go to help with the cost of adoption for babies that were spared from this demise. Won’t you please join your heart with ours in helping these babies to be placed permanently into loving families that have been praying for children of their own?
Our short term goal is to raise approximately $30,000 by March 2010. Our long term goal is to raise $100,000 by November 2010 with an average adoption family award of $5,000. That means we are hoping to help 20 families receive monies to help with their adoption costs.
